Something Unscripted did not begin with a particular meaning in mind. It developed through the act of painting itself—through instinct, response, revision, and the decision to keep going until the work felt resolved. What interests me about the piece is that it still holds some of that uncertainty. It does not explain itself completely, and I like that. There is movement, tension, openness, and interruption, but the meaning is not fixed. I would rather leave space for the viewer to discover what they see in it.
